Drupal Group Architect


We are looking to hire a Group Architect directly for one of our three offices in Ukraine (was previously Blink Reaction) Nikoleav, Kiev, and Lviv. For a strong candidate we can consider a fully remote hire.

A Group Architect at FFW is one of our most senior technical resource. Group Architects are responsible for bringing forward the very best of current technology and trends, technical delivery excellence, as well and managing and nurturing our amazing technical resources. You are a Drupal and web services Ninja continually seeking new technologies to assure best of class solutions. You are a mentor assuring your team is constantly learning and bringing out their best by removing roadblocks. Really you'll make the most of both worlds to influence technology and people.

  • Consult Technical Leads on the technical architecture and requirements as needed
  • Serve as, or support the project architect
  • Participate/lead weekly check-in with program Technical Leads
  • Participate in monthly technology leadership meetings to discuss: notable new tech, success/failures, initiatives status, and roll-out progress.
  • Coordinate and work on program and company level technical initiatives.
  • Work on and oversee client specific tools and solutions that span multiple projects.
  • Roll-out of company standards and best practices within a program.
  • Work on estimates directly or provide final approval for an estimate.
  • Participate in "pitch meetings" - represent the team from the technical standpoint.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings - bring the team up to speed with the technical aspects of a project.
  • Consult Program Manager on teams allocation and structure and necessary staffing adjustments
  • Conduct technical interviews for the program.
  • Support quarterly employee review process for technical staff within program.
  • Have regular (monthly at the minimum) check-in with program Technical Leads (overall state of things, issues, concerns, etc.).
  • Oversee the roll-out of company standards and best practices within the program.
  • Conduct monthly project health review: walk over a checklist with each Technical Lead to make sure project is adhering to company standards and best practices (Project360 DevOps checklist).
  • Identify opportunities and coordinate piloting, roll-outs and use of new tech on projects
  • growing others: guiding, mentoring and sharing knowledge;
  • removing roadblocks: being an expert or go-to person for solving more difficult problems
  • Work on estimates directly or provide final approval for an estimate.

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings - bring the team up to speed with the technical aspects of a project
