FFW at BADCamp 2015

It’s time for one of our favorite Drupal events of the year: BADCamp! FFW is so excited to once again be sponsoring this great event for the Bay Area Drupal community and everyone who makes Drupal awesome. If you’ve never been before, BADCamp is an annual celebration of Drupal, open-source software, and the creators who make it all possible. You won’t want to miss it. This year, the conference returns to the UC Berkeley campus from October 22 to 25. As always, you can expect days filled with great talks, trainings, summits, sprints and socials with some of the brightest Drupal minds from all over the world.

FFW Speakers at BADCamp

We’re excited to have several members of the FFW team speaking and leading sessions at BADcamp. On Friday, October 23, Jesús Manuel Olivas, Drupal 8 Solutions Engineer, will be leading a module development training. Drupal 8 Module Development is a hands-on training that will guide on the process to build modules for Drupal 8, leveraging object-oriented techniques, modern PHP functionality as namespaces, dependency injection, and new concepts introduced with Drupal 8 as the routing system.

Jesus will also be presenting the session Faster and Smarter Development with Drupal Console on Saturday, October 24th from 3:30-4:30pm. This session will help you develop faster and smarter by using the Drupal Console tool, and leveraging modern PHP practices introduced into Drupal 8.

If you’ve always wanted to learn more about the business benefits of Continuous Integration (CI), make sure to check out the Continuous Integration/Continuous Happiness Workflow session, led by two FFW Drupal Architects: Yuriy Gerasimov and Chang Xiao on Saturday, October 24th at 10:00am. While CI is widely accepted and used by development teams everywhere, its business value is often overlooked or misunderstood. In this session, Yuriy and Chang will dive into real cases where the continuous integration process contributed to the success of our clients’ projects and, more importantly, the success of their business.

Looking for a way to get your content creators, SEO’s and WYSIWYG buttons working together in harmony? Join Tess Flynn at her Introduction to Content Types session on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00am-12:00pm and think beyond just pages and learn all you need to know about content types. This session is perfect for new Drupal users and those who need a primer on the basics of Drupal content construction.

Come say hi!

We’d love to chat with you and answer any questions about Drupal 8, open source technology, and what FFW is all about. Stop by our booth at BADcamp to pick up some FFW swag and participate in our paper airplane contest. The best paper airplane pilot will be upgraded to a drone, courtesy of FFW. See you in Berkeley!
