Like lots of other Drupalists we’ve spent a long time talking about and preparing for the Sensio Labs framework Symfony2 and Drupal 8. When it came time to submit our training proposals for Drupalcon Austin we knew we wanted to highlight the need to begin preparing the Drupalverse for this great transition - our response? INTRODUCTION TO SYMFONY2: GETTING READY FOR D8.

We’ve designed this course as a comprehensive introduction to Symfony2 that will help both experienced and new PHP developers understand the power and flexibility of Drupal 8’s new development framework.

To help you learn we’ve brought one of the brightest up and coming leaders in this area on-board at the FFW Center of Excellence to help us co-teach the class - jmolivas - who presented recently at NYC Camp and Drupalcamp Mexico City on the Symfony console and Drupal module generator scaffolding. You'll read about lot's more of his work on these pages in the coming weeks.

If you have not begun to learn Symfony2 or prepare for the changes Drupal 8 will bring this course is a great place to start. It’s also a great place for .NET developers who are just learning about Drupal.

Register before May 2nd and you’ll save $75 on the course fee.

Half of all proceeds after costs goes to support the Drupal Association.
