After months of anticipation, Drupal 8 is finally here. Our offices are already buzzing with questions: who will benefit the most from D8? How can all departments utilize the many features of D8 to get the most out of this powerful new platform?

Drupal has always been powerful, and in many cases even easy. But it has never really been friendly. Drupal 8 changes that completely. 

Welcome to FFW’s new company site! I’m especially excited about this project because we built it in Drupal 8.

Last year FFW hired Jesus Olivas, @jmolivas, to work full time on the Drupal Console project because Drupal 8 needs a modern tool set that leverages all the benefits of Symfony. Drupal 8 is huge. For the first time, we’ve gotten off the “Drupal Island” in a big way. Core now brings in key components from the broader PHP community.

FFW has announced it has begun to offer free live public Drupal training online, in NYC and in other major markets.The free classes will focus on Drupal 8 adoption and will include Site Building classes formerly offered at $799.

The Drupal Console is a suite of tools that you run on a command line interface to generate boilerplate code and interact with a Drupal 8 installation.
